Chapter Sixteen
An Intimate Conversation
The night air clung to the rental car's windows as the four of us huddled inside, parked ominously in front of a dimly lit strip club. Planning our next move was crucial, especially considering none of the girls were over 21. It meant I was the only one with a ticket inside, a fact that grated on my nerves.
I sighed, casting a glance toward Astacia in the front seat. She was engrossed in a phone call, her voice carrying a hint of urgency. The decision to have her make the call was strategicâMav was her cousin, and it seemed Diamantha and Zenith weren't overly concerned, or at least that's what their nonchalant expressions suggested. In the back, they were immersed in a YouTube video, discussing car modifications. Zenith, with a spark in her eyes, animatedly explained ways to boost fuel mileage. It made sense, considering Astacia used to be, well, an airhead in the brains department.
"Okay, I got it set up," Astacia announced, hanging up the phone. "Mav says we can meet up during her break. And not to worry, Jamison, there won't be anyone there except her."
I nodded, a sense of relief washing over me. "So the odds of anyone interfering will be minimal at best. I'm amazed at how well you've set this up. No offense, but I remember you being... well, a bit vapid until lately."
Astacia giggled, her eyes reflecting newfound wisdom. "Blame it on the DreamScape. It shifts your perspective, clears the mind. Less time on clothes and boys, more on books and everything else. You and the girls have been a big influence."
"So no more Bimbo Staci?" I teased, playfully pouting. "That was part of your appeal."
"Well, the 'Bimbo' part is debatable," she laughed. "But the overall look is still intact."
"Just don't give up the ability to drive men crazy. We'll all need that on the way out."
"Jamison, really, now," Astacia chastised, her eyes narrowing in mock disapproval. The tension in the car eased, but the looming mission ahead kept us all on edge.
"She's not wrong, though," Zenith spoke up, "having the appearance and the brains is a very effective combination, and I can't deny how many guys are attracted to a girl with a large bust and a smaller brain, regardless of whether they admit it or not. And let's face it, not everyone is fortunate enough to have a huge chest."
"My chest isn't that big," Diamantha stated. "If anything, you have the bigger boobs, Zenith, and I'm okay with that."
"Yeah, but you have my legs beat by a mile. 'Stairway to Heaven', anyone?"
"Zen, not the time for that reference," I snarked.
"I was thinking about something," Astacia spoke up. "Do you guys ever think about kids once this is done and over with?"
"I thought we already discussed this last night?" Zenith asked. "Me begging Jamison to breed me, ring any bells?"
"You're gonna get it again tonight too, if you keep that talk up," I teased.
"Promise?"
"Yeah, but I mean really think about it.
